Survivor Nicaragua episode 3..."Faker than faux fur"

Survivor fans were once again blessed with a fantastic episode, and for this particular blog, I think instead of writing a recap of what happened, I am going to give my thoughts on each of the remaining players. Everyone has their opinions on them, and I am going to express mine. I am going to start with Judd, AKA Fabio. I like him for one reason and one reason only. He is hysterical! He seems to be a few fries short of a happy meal, and I think if you looked in one of his ears you could probably see the other side. Marty is a huge baby who wants his way all the time. 'Nuff said. Dan. Oh, my. Unlike the saying, Dan is certainly not the man. He claims he is in much better shape physically than Jimmy J. I say, "Dude, have you seen yourself walk?! You need a Survivor scooter or something." Tyrone is built like James Clement. He is very passionate about the game of Survivor, as was James Clement. Hopefully he doesn't get injured and pulled from the game like James Clement. I really like Jane. She is one of my favorites because she is like the mom of the group. She starts fires, she has a brain. Her voice annoys me, though. Alina is a woman with a strong personality, but with not much of an alliance I fear her chances of going to the end are slim. Let's hope something turns around for her. Kelly S. is somewhat of an enigma to me. We don't see or hear much from her. Will she be the next Kelly from Samoa, who just hung out with her tribe and was voted out, or will she be the next Natalie, who was also quiet but ended up winning her season? It's hard to say when she isn't given enough air time. Brenda has a strong personality. She is very flirtatious and plans to use that to her advantage. I can't wait to see how that works out for her. I wasn't thrilled with Jimmy Johnson, but he was fun to watch during the short time he was on. He loves the game of Survivor and I am glad he had the chance to be a part of it. NaOnka is, without a doubt, one of my favorites this season. She speaks her mind, no matter how rude or crude the thoughts are. "Fabio's hair gets on my nerves....such an airhead." And that was a fairly tame statement from her. She should really watch her mouth. Yve is a beautiful woman, inside and out. She is quiet, and I can't believe she is 40. I hope I look like that when I am 40. Jill is another one of my favorites. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders and also appears to get along with everyone on her tribe. I really hope she goes a long way. Benry is strong in challenges and seems like a nice guy. Pretty boring so far. I think Sash's mind is definitely in the game. He always seems to be talking strategy with someone. Jimmy T. just needs to calm the hell down. Dude, we get it. You wanna play the game and they won't let you. Kelly B. is another favorite of mine. I admire her for playing this game with a prosthetic leg. She truly is an inspiration to everyone. The only thing about Chase that really stands out for me is that he likes Brenda. That is about it. He reminds me alot of Mick from Samoa. I have saved my favorite for last, my friend Holly. Yes, I have met her in person and she is now someone I consider a friend. I guess you could say I am biased because of that. But she is a beautiful woman, inside and out. I know for a fact that she is very caring and also very determined to win this game. I don't know what the future of the game holds for her, but I will be rooting for her every step of the way.

The challenge consisted of barrell-rolling and bag tossing. It was so close! Benry rocked it, but Tyrone did very well himself. LaFlor ended up winning it, and Espada voted out Jimmy J. at Tribal Council.

Batten down the hatches for next week's episode. A storm is brewing, but it will be nothing compared to Hurricane NaOnka!

  3. Good assessment Julie. It has been a pretty wild season thus far, I agree with most and I too have my faves. I am still hoping Alina and Kelly B. can survive somehow, I like Yve and Tyrone and Jill from Espada. I do agree Jane's voice annoys, and especially that laugh .
Good words Julie, look forward to next week's episode and of course recap.
